10.9 Torsional Shear Type High Strength Boltstension also known as control bolts, tc bolts or "twist-off" bolts, have become one of the world's most widely used method to tension high strength structural bolts, as they can be used in almost all steelwork connections. the tension control bolt consists of a three-piece fastening system with 1) around the head bolt with a truncated, flat surface area at the top of the bolt, and a 24-sided tip which protrudes from the opposite end. the tip is calibrated to shear off when the proper tension is applied. 2) a heavy hex nut and, 3) a structural flat washer.
This product is improved from large hexagon type. our torsional shear type high strength bolt is composed of main bolt body, nut and washer. its tensile strength comes in 1040 ~ 1240 mpa and 830 ~ 1030 mpa. this product has the yield strength of 940 mpa or 660 mpa. in addition, our product has a long service life, ideally suitable for railway, highway, bridge, boiler, factory, high-rise buildings, hoisting machinery as well as other steel structures.
